love actually

"whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. general opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. it seems to me that love is everywhere. often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. when the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. if you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion... love actually is all around."

jah.

yes yes yes

what if we had said YES to every opportunity we have ever been given? I just like the idea of having the possibility to say yes. and then say NO, so I can always wonder, what if...

but hey, if I had said yes, I would still wonder, what would life be, if I'd had said no. so this doesn't make any sense at all.

YES MAN

based on an autobiographical book written by Danny Wallace, a british author, producer, and journalist who spent a year answering "yes" to any given question or proposal and recording the results.

Me oleme ükssama keha,

I'm doubting you, mr. Bohr

thank you mr. Bohr, mr. Rutherford, mr. Born, mr. Thomson, mr.Mendelejev and mr. Schrödinger for making my life much more complex. I really appreciate the hard work you have put in creating this epic theory. but since it's just a theory, I refuse to belive in this CRAP. I have had my doupts from the first day I heard the magical word ATOM. Seriously, one crazy guy comes along telling everyone that everything consist of atoms and so on...and everyone is like umm, jea, that makes sense! NO, it effing doesn't! I'd say NO PIC, NO PROOF!I refuse to join this cult! I hope that someday a guy (or a girl, I'm not a sexist) proves you all wrong, so I can be like HA!

random thoughts in literature class

in the book "All Quiet on the Westen Front" Kropp describes a seemingly silly way of fighting a war. he thinks that it should be done by the ministers and generals of the two countries coming together in a boxing ring and whoever is left on his feet, his country is declared the winner.

not a bad idea at all. i guess the californians got it right from the start. Arnold Scwarzenegger ftw.

I do agree, mr. Matisse

"what I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue."

Henri-Émile-Benoît Matisse
